A woman reveals a source of shame for more than 60 years — her SAT score

Linda Mele Johnson’s SAT results not only caused embarrassment, but made her question her intelligence. Coming from a low-income family, she had no access to prep courses and tutors. Now a retired educator and author, she applauds ditching the SAT as a college admissions requirement.
