This blender is also very powerful and can blend any ingredients with ease.

Comparing the Two
I tested the Vitamix Propel Series Propel 510 and the Blendtec Blender Classic with Go Jar Bundle. I compared their design, ease of cleaning, value, speed, and more to determine which option is best.
Ease of Use
Both are pretty easy to use. However, finding the power switch on the Vitamix can be tricky. And in terms of overall use, I prefer the Blendtec blender. It’s strong enough to crush ice and easy enough to use. With just a quick push of the button, I'm set.
Design
As much as I’ve loved my Vitamix over the years, it’s giant in the kitchen. I think it’s too much for most families. For everyday use, size, and the overall look on the counter, I prefer the Blendtec Total Blender.
Accessories Included
The Vitamix Propel 510 includes the motor base, a 48-ounce container, a smaller tamper, and a mini cookbook. For my review of Blendtec, I tried the Total Blender Classic with Go Jar Bundle. It includes the blender base, Fourside Jar, Go Jar, and jar lids. As someone with a busy schedule, I don’t have time to spend all morning working on breakfast, and the Go Jar is a lifesaver. It gives me the convenience of a powerful blend at my fingertips. I love that the travel jar lets me blend, switch lids, and take my smoothie.
Cleaning
Both blenders have dishwasher-safe jars, but detergent seems to dull the plastic on the Blendtec blender. For both blenders, I just add a couple of drops of dish soap and one to two cups of water, then blend for a minute or two. This cleanup method is easy enough, but Vitamix may be a better choice if washing in the dishwasher is a priority.
Value
With a cost of $479.95, the Vitamix Propel 510 is a decision-making investment. It’s still a worthy purchase because of its high durability, but I feel the Blendtec bundle I tested is a better value. It has two containers in one. This let me make a smoothie for myself on the way to work, and my family could still make their smoothies at home. Plus, it costs $30 less!
Speed
In terms of speed, these two blenders are similar. I like that the Vitamix has a dial that lets you gradually turn up the speed to fit your needs. The Blendtec has pre-settings and plus/minus buttons to modify the speed. Both have enough speed to crush ice, so you really can’t go wrong with either!
Noise
The Vitamix Propel 510 is very noisy. It’s impossible to carry out a conversation or do much else while the blender is running. The Blendtec Total Blender has volume but is not nearly as loud as the Vitamix. My family could go on with their regular activities while knowing the blender was on instead of covering their ears from the earth-shaking noise of the Vitamix.
Which Is Better?
Here’s my moment of truth: even though I’ve been a Vitamix user for years, the Blendtec Total Blender is my top pick. It surprised me with excellent results and a great design that looks better on my kitchen counter. It works as well as the Vitamix, and the pre-programmed options make it easier to ensure our food gets blended correctly. Vitamix might have more power, but sometimes more power is just more noise. Blendtec works just as well, for a better price and a sleeker design.
Despite my preference for Blendtec, both are truly great options. Whichever blender you decide, we hope our review helps you make the best decision that fits your budget and works well for your specific needs.
