Tren de Aragua (TdA), listed as a foreign terrorist organization, is a vicious and violent Venezuelan gang operating inside the United States. The Venezuelan prison gang is wreaking havoc in American cities, taking over apartment complexes and committing high-profile murders. Tren de Aragua caught the attention of President Donald Trump as he aims to deport them from the U.S., some under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
The total number of ICE illegal immigrant arrests from the first 100 days of Trump's second presidency includes 2,288 gang members from Tren de Aragua, MS-13, 18th Street and other gangs, according to an April 2025 statement from ICE Acting Director Todd M. Lyons.
Rap sheets of alleged Tren de Aragua gang members who were detained in Texas in April 2025 include charges of aggravated assault with a weapon, larceny, dangerous drug charges, alien smuggling, resisting an officer, criminal burglary, hit-and-run, battery, possession of stolen property, driving under the influence and shoplifting, among others.
